Did you know Donkey Kong was originally going to be a licensed Popeye game? Well things didn’t go as planned, and rather than scrapping the project, Nintendo decided to make a game with Donkey Kong, Pauline, and Mario (Jumpman?)

Imagine how fun(ny) the world would’ve been if we had Popeye Golf, Super Smash Sailors, and Popeye’s Galaxy instead.
